Type II Diabetes is a disease that affects the body’s ability to produce and process insulin – a hormone that helps the body manage blood sugar also known as Glucose. Glucose is the body’s main source of energy, and insulin regulates the amount of glucose in the blood. When someone has diabetes, insulin is either improperly produced, or the body becomes resistant to it.

Type II diabetes affects millions of people in the United States and is the most common type of diabetes. Symptoms of diabetes may include:
• Excessive thirst or hunger
• Fatigue
• Weight loss
• Blurred vision
• Frequent infections that are slow to heal and
• Fatigue
